To launch an anthology of writing on progressive views of Britain’s economic future, Labour in the City is hosting a panel discussion on rethinking, rebuilding, and reforming the UK in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

How can we put the nation’s finances on a stable footing without reverting to austerity? How have boardroom attitudes been changed and shaped by the health crisis? What lessons can we draw from the last 12 months on how to build a more socially just Britain?

Speakers will include:

• The Right Honourable Pat McFadden MP, Shadow City Minister

• John Fallon, Chair, WarChild UK and former Chief Executive of Pearson PLC

• Frances Coppola, financial economist, writer and blogger

Topics will focus on balancing twin concerns of economic growth and social justice as Britain seeks to reinvigorate and rebuild its economy in the aftermath of COVID-19.

Time and date: Wednesday 31st March, 5pm

Moderator: Andrew Clark, COO, Labour in the City
