Labour in the City was proud to be part of the team that hosted Alistair Darling at a packed dinner in the City last night. Alistair shared personal memories of some of the more hair-raising days of the financial crisis. He also pointed out that if the Coalition hadn’t repealed Labour’s legislation requiring the government to halve the deficit in this parliament, they could well be facing prosecution for missing that target.
